ONYX Graphics announces global availability of ONYX 18.5 software

ONYX 18.5 is built upon the award-winning ONYX 18 version, taking print production to the next level with the distinction of being the first wide-format RIP solution with Adobe PDF Print Engine 5 (APPE 5). With APPE 5, print service providers (PSPs) benefit from the latest technological advancements for complete design-to-print workflows including high impact colour rendering, smoother edges for graphics, enhanced Unicode support; plus support for PDF 2.0 features such as black-point compensation, half-tone origin, special data for spot colours, and page-level output intent.

ONYX 18.5 also introduces new Quick Set application library management for improved automation, enhanced iccMAX compatibility with support for third-party files and new spot colour tools for greater colour accuracy and vibrancy. Coupled with new ColorCheck reports, ONYX 18.5 delivers industry-leading output that can literally be validated to print buyers. ONYX 18.5 covers the entire product portfolio of ONYX solutions including ONYX Thrive print workflow; and ONYX ProductionHouse, ONYX PosterShop, and ONYX RIPCenter RIP software. The software is now available globally to all ONYX Advantage customers by requesting a key update and to all other customers through a licence purchase.
