The Children’s Place opens first India store in Bengaluru

Specialty retailer The Children’s Place has opened its first store in India at Bengaluru. The $1.3 billion US retailer has partnered with Arvind Lifestyle Brands for the venture and the latter expects its association with US largest brand of children’s apparel and accessories will help it boost its revenue from the segment to Rs 725 crore in the next four years. The Children’s Place operates close to 1,200 outlets across the globe. Arvind, the US retailer’s licensing partner in India, will add 30-40 stores across Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad over four years as it moves to service the large but unorganized market. Arrival of the high-end store of The Children’s Place in the Indian retail scene is a business advantage for the signage companies dealing in in-shop displays, designs, branding, et al.
