Scriptograph Signs, Chennai diversifies into trophies & awards

Scriptograph Signs has made  forays into trophies and crystal products, with the launch of a new company christened Celestiel. It would be the first corporate style trophy shop dealing in crystal products, acrylics, and corporate gifts. For this, the company has tied up with Top Most Design & Corporate, an American company, dealing in Prism brand of trophies, corporate gifts and high-end crystal products. Celestiel has the distribution rights of Prism brand in India.

The company’s showroom is situated on College Road in the heart of Chennai. This 1000 sq ft showroom offers an array of trophies, gift items and crystal products to choose from. Top Most Design & Corporate offers standardised trophies and Celestiel does in-house engraving as per individual requirements. For this, they have installed sand blasting machine from Resist, US, which was recommended by Prism.

Celestial is the first Indian company which is a member of US-based Awards & Recognition Association (ARA). The association, which has leading award-making companies as its members, focuses on trophies and gift items. It holds a couple of meetings annually in well-known places such as Atlantic City or Los Angeles. It also offers training programmes for trophy-makers. Nadeem, the projects in-charge at Scriptograph Signs, informed that the trophy-maker of Oscar Award is also a member of ARA.

Scriptograph Signs was initially into the business of acrylics. According to Nadeem, their strong customer base often required trophies for corporates and they motivated them to bring out something in acrylic, which gives the look of the glass. Seeing huge potential and demand for trophies in the corporate sector such as multinationals nd software companies, Scriptograph made a few trophies under the Scriptographic brand for over a year. They bagged prestigious orders from Earmine Centre and MRF. Since then, the company has never looked back and carved its own brand identity. This motivated Scriptograph bosses to open up a specialised unit dealing in trophies and so Celestial came into being.

Scriptograph Signs is currently in expansion mode. Nadeem revealed that they are planning to appoint dealers in different cities such as Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bangalore. The Bangalore project is in the pipeline and the company is studying a proposal of a 200 sq ft showroom in a prime location. It also plans to diversify into unique products such as artefacts from Greece, Italy and Egypt. After all, innovation is the name of the game.
