Sangeetha Mobiles to open 1000 shops a year

Bengaluru-based Sangeetha Mobiles, with a network of 320 mobile phone stores and a turnover of Rs 900 crore, is a success story in the retailing business. Sangeetha grew from a one-shop gramophone business to a mobile phone shop chain — in between selling TV sets and pagers — indicating a willingness to change with the times and technology. The company has 91 shops in Bengaluru, 40 in Chennai and 45 in Hyderabad. Now the new plan of the company is to open 1,000 shops every year. Signage players engaging in in-shop displays, designs, branding and related jobs will bring in fresh business opportunity with the mega expansion plan of Sangeetha Mobiles.
