Magna Colours launches new sustainability standard for water-based textile inks

Ink manufacturer Magna Colours announces the launch of a new sustainability standard for water-based inks used in textile printing. The company has developed the GNA which they say will distinguish those textiles that have been made with no harmful chemicals. Inks and products marked with GNA are guaranteed to be free of harmful chemicals such as PVC and alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEO) and must be water-based formulations. According to a source from the company, players in the screen-printing industry are at an advantage now. The exceptional performance of the latest water-based inks means there is now no need for solvent-based printing systems, immediately reducing the risk of harmful chemicals to our health and the environment.
