Gitanjali eyes to tap tier II and III cities

Gitanjali Jewels Ltd, a chain of jewellery retail outlets, is planning to increase its number of its franchise stores to around 400 from the current 215. Besides, the company is also looking at the taking the count of its company owned outlets to 200 from 185 and SIS (Shop in Shops) to around 650 from the current 470. The company is eyeing tier II and III cities for the launch of the new outlets. The core focus of the company is to expand via franchise route, create few flagship models of company owned stores and attract franchisees for different formats in different regions of the nation.
