GAP franchisee in India plans to open 17 new shops

Arvind Lifestyle Brands, GAP’s master franchise in India, has announced that they will open 17 GAP shop-in-shops through multi-brand retailers, signaling the lifestyle brand’s strategy for expansion into tier-II and III markets in the country. According to a source, Kapsons, Iconic India and All That Jazz will be among the multi-brand retailers. This is the first time GAP is introducing shop-in-shop format in India. GAP, which entered India three years ago with store sizes of about 11,000 sq ft, has now decided to reduce the space of some existing and future outlets to 4,500-5,500 sq ft. Opening of high-end GAP stores in India is an added business advantage for the signage companies whose jobs involve in in-store graphics, branding and such tasks.
