Durst introduces ink saving and carbon measuring devices

Durst releases ‘Ink Performer’, a new ink saving software and the ‘CostVIEW V3’ carbon footprint calculator, which are now available for Durst Rho printers. The Ink Performer engine is designed and optimised for LFP Inkjet Printers. Users can significantly reduce ink costs at the printing level in an easy way by simply selecting the ink saving option while printing, without changing the colour in the final print.

The Ink Saving option is set at the printing level, not at the profiling level and has three black start levels and four ink saving levels, ‘low-medium-high-max’, corresponding to the different levels of economy. Savings of up to 33 percent can be realised, depending on the file used. The redesigned Caldera CostVIEW Version 3 is a web-based carbon footprint calculator, dedicated to the wide format printing industry.
