Brazilian slipper brand Havaianas expanding retail network in India

Havaianas, a popular Brazilian slipper brand, which has recently launched its operations in India, is gearing up to invest $20 million in the next five years to expand its retail network in the country. Alpargatas S.A. and Shoezone Lifestyle LLP have formed a JV partnership for the Indian entry of the brand. Havaianas plans on aggressively focusing on 10 top cities to speed up the retail network and achieve its full potential. The first locations chosen for the mono-brand stores include Mumbai, Bangalore, Goa, Chennai, Pune, and Cochin. Rapid store expansion plan of MNCs like Havaianas is an added business opportunity for the signage companies that engage in in-store projects.
