Mouvent is a new company founded by a joint venture between BOBST and Radex, focusing on digital print using pioneering technologies. The JV or BOBST’s digital printing competence center has announced the launch of their first digital inkjet textile printer—TX801. This newly introduced printer is an 8-color system capable to produce high print quality on textiles with up to 2,000 dpi optical resolution, and is associated with unmatched printing speed. Mouvent announces that TX801 is the company’s major step forward in textile printing.
TX801 prints with up to eight colours and, even though it is a scanning type machine, up to 50 percent of the print jobs are completed in a single pass, boosting productivity up to 200 sq m/h without compromising on quality. In order to reach those levels of productivity, the TX801 utilises an ingenious, very compact proprietary print engine development, integrating FUJIFILM Dimatix Samba printhead technology. This is associated with speed, precision and scalability, deploying up to 16 g/sq m of ink in a single pass. The engines are based on the MouventTM Cluster, which results in high optical resolution and a very high printing quality. TX801can print onto knitted, woven and non-woven textiles with maximum fabric width that can be processed 1800 mm with roll diameters of up to 400 mm. Mouvent has a full product pipeline of digital printers which are going to be unveiled in the months ahead.
