Mutoh & Avery Dennison tie up for new TrafficJet Xpert road-sign printer

Mutoh TrafficJet Xpert is built on the company’s XpertJet printer platform and optimised for traffic signage, work zone applications, and custom graphics. True Traffic Color spot inks and included software automates reflective sign making, simplifying the printing of specification- compliant traffic control, way-finding, and custom signage. In this, the new Avery Dennison TrafficJet system offers faster printing and less ink consumption, and has an integrated dryer. Simplified machine operation via a new touchscreen panel helps speed up workflow, while cartridge waste is reduced and ink capacity can be increased with bulk ink supply.

TrafficJet Xpert’s integrated dryer enables high-speed production of up to 162 sq ft/hr. Ink levels are easily managed with indicator LED lights and unified ink feed on one side of the printer. Avery Dennison and Mutoh say the operator experience helps to set the TrafficJet Xpert apart from other digital print systems, with new features designed to simplify operation and avoid downtime, reducing headaches and increasing output. The overall Avery Dennison TraficJet Xpert system saves road authorities money by facilitaing cleaning of signage, instead of replacement. Advanced protective overlay prevents markings from penetrating past the surface, while UV inhibitors increase the sign’s life. This technology offers dependability and reassurance.
