Avient Corporation acquires Magna Colours

Ohio-based Avient Corporation, a global provider of specialised polymer materials and services, has announced its acquisition of Magana Colours. On the Magna-Avient joint venture, Robert M Patterson, Chairman, President & CEO, Avient Corporation says that Magna represents an important investment in sustainable solutions as brand owners seek alternatives to legacy technologies. He further mentions that they expect their collective inks portfolio will grow substantially as the threat of COVID-19 subsides, people can safely attend sporting and other live events in person and travel increases.

Now, Magna Colours materials will join Avient’s existing specialty inks portfolio, alongside prominent brands such as Wilflex and Rutland. Tom Abbey, Chairman of Magna, commented that while growing Magna, they had a goal to revolutionise the industry and promote sustainable options – the company’s proven technology accomplishes that.
