It was a proud moment for India, when India’s first, made in India inkjet ink brand, Aqua Tint received interim approval by Xaar for its printhead recently. The inks have undergone multiple tests (materials compatibility, reliability, drop volume, drop velocity, print frequency, print quality, etc) before getting the final approval. Aqua Tint inks had been under analysis by Xaar for last several months. With this, Aqua Tint has acquired a unique position in the Indian market with the distinction of being the only locally manufactured ink approved by Xaar for India.
Harish Goswamy, managing director, Aqua Tint inks said, “We have been in discussions with Xaar since several months and only after the rigorous analysis process they have granted interim approval for the Indian market. We are thankful to the entire team at Xaar, here at India and the UK for supporting Aqua Tint inks and also the encouragement we received from G S Negi, Vikram Bhatia and Rajat Mitra for their complete faith in Aqua Tint.”
Tarun Kumar, general manager of Xaar in India said, “Ultimately, most of the inks consumed in India would be manufactured in India. Aqua Tint’s manufacturing and Xaar’s interim ink approval for them are steps in this direction. This goes well with their view that most of the industrial inkjet printing equipments used in India will be made in India in the near future. These equipments and inks are surely of global standards and infact could be exported too.”
Alongwith the approval for Aqua Tint products, comes a backing of wide network of dealers, spare parts support as well as technical services like engineer support and colour profiling.
