The Society for Experiential Graphic Designers (SEGD), a global, multidisciplinary community dedicated to providing top-notch products and services, to forging new paths in graphics technology, and to developing sustainable practices and materials, recognised 3M with an honor commemorating excellence in environmental graphic design and experiential graphic design; previously the company bagged the award in 1998 and 2009 as well. The Arrow Award comes in the wake of several 3M product and service launches. In recent months, 3M has expanded its Wrap Overlaminate Series 8900 and Wrap Film Series 1080 product lines, and announced its acquisition of Knifeless Tech Systems. The Core, a resource and digital hub for graphic and sign shops, was also introduced in March 2016.
