A well-known name in the media is Starflex, which is the leading brand of PVC flex products manufactured by KangWoo Co Ltd in South Korea, with a daily export of 50,000 sqm, catering to around 100 countries worldwide since 1985. To further enhance it’s manufacturing capacity, the company is currently investing in a new plant in Korea to increase its production capacity by 50%. As per Bryan Park, overseas biz division, Starflex Co Ltd, Korea, who also looks after the US, Australia and Indian market, Starflex has the maximum market share in Korea for backlight signage.
As a move to woo print buyers, he mentioned that from now onwards they want to add awareness amongst print buyers about their products and features by conducting seminars, dealers meet etc.
Commenting on the issue of getting their media specified in the corporate sector, he said that internationally, they do not follow this system but they do give warranties on all their products worldwide.
Coming to the Indian market, Bryan informed that Starflex is studying the local Indian requirements and plans to introduce special pricing for price conscious Indian market to increase its market share.
