MG Sekaran becomes business director Asia Pacific at Avery Dennison

MG Sekaran 
Helen Saunders, vice president and general manager Graphics and Reflective Products Division (GRPD), Avery Dennison has recently announced the appointment of MG Sekaran to the position of business director, Asia Pacific. Sekaran will report to Fred Pereira, general manager, Graphics and Reflective Products Division, Asia Pacific, and will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In this role, Sekaran will lead the sales and marketing organisation across the region. His primary objective will be to support and drive the aggressive growth plans of Avery Dennison’s GRPD business in Asia Pacific and South African regions. He will be responsible for all sales, marketing and business development activities, as well as people leadership and driving process improvement and leveraging best practices.

Sekaran brings to this position after 29 years of broad leadership and functional experience. He comes to Avery Dennison from Wasco Energy Ltd, where he held the position of country head, India. Prior to this position, Sekaran held general management, commercial and operations leadership positions in various industries and countries. Sekaran received his B Sc Hon in Chemical Engineering at the Imperial College of Science and Technology, London, UK.
