While maintaining the leading position, the company has been going steady on their self-trodden path of success.  Having almost 40 years of experience in the pre- press industry gives Liberty Graphics’ team a clear advantage in reproducing signage, print-outs, bill boards, etc. of top most quality. Established in 1986, the company is growing stronger with times. They are member of the Bombay Master Printers Association (BMPA) and Bombay Reprographers Association as well as are on the panel of the WPP group as their vendor.

So, how has been the journey so far, on asking Pankaj about the same, he replied, “It was not a smooth sailing in the beginning. When my father started this business, he underwent a lot of difficulties including financial crunch. But he had that potential to face the difficulties and was able to sustain.”

For Pankaj, to join this family business was an obvious choice, and he further elaborated, “Initially we started with block-making, and in 1988 we purchased a DC380-T Dr HELL scanner. Then we purchased a series of CtF machines, which includes Dolev 800 from Creo Scitex with an output size of 30”x40″. Later we diversified into solvent printing and purchased Vutek-3360 and more recently we have installed a KEUNDO Supra Q 3300S.”

Stressing more upon the quality, Pankaj is extremely particular about the quality production and output. Explaining more about the production output, he added, “We print most of our signage, vinyls, bill-boards, banners on Vutek 3360 and Mimaki JV5. Presently, we operate from two facilities at Lower Parel and Fort, which help us to provide uninterrupted supply to our customers. For double-sided printing on backlit flex, we purchased KEUNDO Supra printer. The quality of inputs i.e. solvent inks, flex, vinyl, clear films, one-way vision films, mesh is top-most and there is no way we compromise on this issue.”

So, what are the specific qualities, Pankaj found in Keundo printer that prompted him to acquire one, “When printing with solvent printers, the main factor that needs consideration is the banding which is a characteristic of solvent printers. On looking at various options available we found that this machine produces good quality prints. The other advantage of this machine is the ease with which it produces front/back printed backlit with minimal operator intervention – the process has been automated to a great extent. The printer as on date is performing to our expectations.”

Not only the printer’s quality, but also the supportive attitude of Fujifilm Sericol India added to the well-chosen decision of the company. Expressing gratitude about the same, Pankaj happily added, “The Fujifilm Sericol India has given us able support for the printer and they have trained our workmen. In reference to the quality we feel it is one of the topline solvent printers. And I would like to thank Mukesh Patel of Sericol India for his endeavor in helping us to acquire KEUNDO Printer.”

The other installations at Liberty Graphics include, Creo Dolev 800 V Plus Imagesetter in size 30″x 40″ and Dolev 450 in size 22″ x 28″; Epson seven colour 48″, ORIS RIP software; CtP of 30″ x 40″ by Dainippon Screen; Roland Vinyl cut machine 4 feet wide; Wide format HP 5000 PS 6 colour 1200 dpi; Vutek Ultra Vu 3360 EC Solvent printing machine with wide format size of 10.5’ 8-colour; a pair of 87″ Mutoh Toucan; and Mimaki JV5 (64″ width).

Serving their clients with the best, the company takes pride in being clients’ favourite as well. The list of clients include biggies like WPP Group; FCB Ulka; Mudra Communication; Times Group; TATA AIG; ICICI Bank Ltd; and HDFC Bank Ltd. “The relationship that we share with our clients is that of business partner. We strive hard to give our best since their prosperity becomes proportionate to our prosperity as well,” Pankaj added with affirmation.

On a concluding note Pankaj did share his future plans and added, “The future plan include going completely digital and diversifying into making ourselves a complete one-stop-shop offering diverse solutions under one roof.”
