YUPOTako (Octopus)—a synthetic paper that sticks without adhesive—manufactured by the Japanese company YUPO is now available in India. Distributed by the leading media supplier Xprint, this unique product is commonly used for highly visible applications like floor banners with lamination, wall banners, fast food campaigns, etc. It comes in four different categories for different printings—silkscreen and UV digital, water-based inkjet, eco-solvent and sheet offset.
Having ability to stick on flat surfaces and removable as many times as necessary, YUPOTako (Octopus) is neither a self-adhesive sticker nor a static film. As it is absent from glue or bonding agent, there is no sticky feeling or leftover glue on applied surfaces and no bubbles to contend with. This product is named ‘Tako’ meaning ‘octopus’ in Japanese because the patented micro suction structure on the reverse side of it acts like octopus skin.
Environment-friendly YUPOTako (Octopus) is not made of PVC and its base materials are 100 percent recyclable. It is easy handling; no special expertise or personnel are required for applications. In case of getting dusty due to excessive handling, YUPOTako (Octopus) can simply be washed with water and the fun begins again.
