XAAR announces extended family of printheads for ‘Big Colour’

At Ceramics China held on May 21-24, 2014, XAAR is showing its newly launched XAAR 1002 family of printheads and announce three new printheads focusing on the importance and challenge of achieving ‘Big Colour’. The ceramics tile industry has massively adopted digital inkjet for the decoration process but challenges remain in producing intense colours and special effects to increase differentiation and added-value. Now XAAR has developed the technology to deliver even bigger advantages by achieving even higher levels of colour intensity and the volume laydown for decorative and flood glazes. All of this at the same time as keeping the incredible detail and accuracy of the XAAR 1002 GS6 and GS12. This will allow tile manufacturers to produce an even wider range of patterns and special effects as we digitalise the entire deposition process.

These new XAAR 1002 GS40, XAAR 1002 SBX and XAAR 001 printheads are the result of considerable investment in R&D to enable ceramic tile producers worldwide to set new standards for design creativity and finishes. XAAR’s ceramic industry OEM partners at this year’s show include EFI Cretaprint, Hope Ceramics Machinery, KERAjet, Meijia Ceramic Equipment, New King Time Machinery, Intesa-Sacmi, SITI B&T, SRS and TecnoFerrari.
