SwissQprint premieres Rob to auto load and unload media at drupa 2016

As a new marvel in automation, swissQprint has made debut of its Rob, a robotic solution for unattended printing, at the recent drupa 2016 in Dusseldorf. The compact robot augments any swissQprint flatbed printer and loads and unloads the media. Oblivious to the hustle and bustle of the show going on around him, Rob stayed on the job unerringly and without ever taking a break. To an awed public, the new robot demonstrated how unattended printing works with swissQprint: it can precisely load boards onto an Impala 2 flatbed printer and just as carefully stacked them up after printing.

Rob handles extra shifts without supervision and takes over repetitive work. The user gains time for other tasks and has fewer hours to work. Despite greater utilisation of the printer and optimised delivery times, the work-life balance of personnel stays on the level. Higher output also has a positive impact on financial results, not least because neither robot nor printer demand allowances for night shift or weekend working.
