Neolt has launched its new low-cost yet high-quality UV printer AsterJet, which features a new, patented media transport system. Roll-fed substrates as well as semi-rigid (up to 10 mm) and rigid (up to 5 mm) materials are pulled through the printer by a patented vacuum roll that keeps a firm grip on the media and transports it securely and safely through the machine. This way, even very smooth media, such as vinyls, are effortlessly transported, because there are no pinch rollers, there is no danger of them leaving any traces or dirt on the media surface.
AsterJet is equipped with XAAR Proton printheads and specially developed inks. It has an ink system allowing the operator to refill the tanks without having to interrupt printing. Subtanks contain enough ink to finish the print currently in production. With special bottles, which do not open until completely entered into the ink system, the operator is protected from physically touching the inks.
