Mimaki launches Tx400-1800D printer Latest in direct-to-textile and dye-sublimation printing

mimaki introduces a new ink and cost effective dye-sublimation and direct-to-textile inkjet printer Tx400-1800D. The printer employs innovative features that enable the user to adjust the ink volume jetted by the printheads according to the type of fabric and design. It can accommodate both direct-to-textile and dye-sublimation printing employing sublimation media.

Ink options: Three different inks—dye sublimation ink, reactive dye ink and acid dye ink are available and their environmental impacts are lowered as they are delivered in reusable 2l-ink containers. Newly developed dye-sublimation ink excels in low vapour emission. In comparison with the former ink, service providers will thus be able to control more than before the impact of vapour on the media.

Tx400-1800D is equipped with Bulk Ink System (BIS) and its patented UISS (Uninterrupted Ink Supply System) to ensure automatic switching of inks when one 2l-ink container runs empty without interrupting printing. Printable up to a maximum width of 1,850 mm, the printer’s print resolution is between 300×300 dpi to 900×900 dpi.
