Popular textiles firm Mafatlal Industries plans to open 90 ‘Family Shops’ to increase its retail outlets to 200 in the next three years. The company recently opened a new showroom in Agra and another two will come up at Puducherry and Nadiad (Gujarat) next month, it said in a statement on Friday. With a network of 450 dealers and 45,000 retail points of sale, it registers sales volume of over 85 million metres per annum. Founded in 1905, the company has integrated manufacturing facilities at Nadiad and Navsari in Gujarat. Opening of the new outlets from this legendary textile brand of India will bring in a fresh business opportunity for the signage companies exclusively dealing in in-shop branding, designs and related activities.
