Brother enters a new market for wide-format printers after the company’s success in the industrial garment printing over the last 15 years. The company is now fully geared up to debut WF1-L640 ‘Latex’ wide-format printer designed for banners, window graphics, vehicle wraps and more. A press release from Brother says, the newly launched Latex system is ideal for interior decorations like wallpaper, floor applications or paintings that can be implemented flawlessly with the printer.
Brother WF1-L640 uses eco-friendly ‘Latex’ ink and advanced printhead technology to achieve high colour depth and resolution of up to 1200dpi. The company has partnered with Roland DG for the RIP front-end software. In a way, the printer chassis itself looks much like a re-badged Roland TruVis AP640. The new machine will be presented for the first time at FESPA Munich 2023 on May 23, 2023.
