Around one hundred 3M commercial graphics authorised channel partners gathered at The Zuri Varca beach in Goa to celebrate the success of 2008, taken the stock of 2009 so far and arrived at a consensus on the way forward. The fun-filled ‘Maha Yudh’ 2009: Commercial Graphics Channel Partner Meet’ was an amazing blend of business sessions and full of amusement.
The day’s event was unveiled with the business session wherein a 3M team reviewed performances in the last twelve months and discussed further plans to be taken up for the next twelve months in the areas of sales, marketing and technical activities. The entire business discussion was based around the 3M strategy of ‘Protecting the Core, ‘Expanding the Reach’ and ‘Growth in Adjacent Markets.’
The objective of the meet was to provide enough weapons to the channel partners to face the economic downturn and be poised for growth when the demand comes back…help them in their ‘Maha Yudh.’ During the business session, the 3M Team also launched a new innovative experience workshop titled ‘Feel the Ideas.’ This experience workshop showcased 3M CGD capabilities in an engaging, interactive manner.
The business session was followed by the much-awaited Channel Partner Award and Inter-Region Maha-Yudh Award distribution ceremony. Street Neon from Mumbai won the coveted ‘Ashoka Award’ for the Signage Partner of the Year, all over the country for the period 2008-09. ‘Dronacharya Award for the Distributor of the Year’ for 2008-09 was bagged by Mira Combines, Mumbai.
In line with 3M’s new campaign ‘Ideas for Expression’, a new series of awards ‘Ideas of 2008-09’ was launched in three categories, namely, Most Innovative Brand/ Corporate Identity, Brand Promotional Campaign and Architectural Interiors. Ubiquitous, Mumbai; S S Digital, New Delhi; and MIPL, Bangalore walked away with these three prestigious awards honouring the trio in recognition of their outstanding ideas.
The event concluded with music, dance and dinner, which saw the entire 3M commercial graphics family letting their hair down and having a great time.
