Volvo Auto India has opened a showroom and workshop in Kolkata, marking the entry of the luxury car-maker into eastern part of the country. According to a source of the company, the dealership network of the company would be increased to 20 by end of this year from the current number 14. Apart from Kolkata, Volvo cars are now available through two dealers in Delhi and one each in Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Vishakhapatnam, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Pune, Coimbatore, Surat and Gurgaon. Signage players must roll up their sleeves as fresh business opportunities keep pouring in across the retail sector.
