Udupi Ruchi plans chain of QSR cafes

Bengaluru-based Udupi Ruchi, a ready-to-cook products maker, has announced its plans to set up a chain of QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) format cafes through a franchise mode with an investment outlay of Rs 50 crore. Having taken this initiative as a part of its diversification from manufacture and marketing of ready-to-cook food items, it has thus, far set up three Ruchi Udupi cafes in Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Coimbatore and has now taken to expansion. The cafes will be in three formats of 10×10 ft, a 50-seater model and large-format store on highways. Signage companies dealing in in-store fabrication, designs and graphics may get an added business opportunity with the opening of Udupi Ruchi’s chain of QSR cafes.
