Tata sets to increase its Tanishq bridal stores

Tata Group’s Tanishq jewellery brand plans to enter the lucrative regional ornaments segment as a new strategy to cater to the diverse requirements of brides from different communities around India. With a view to the expanding, the company will come out with specific traditional collections for Punjabi, Bihari, Gujarati, Marwari, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Kannada and Marathi brides. Focusing more on large-format stores as part of the expansion in a way to achieve better stock turn and advantage of space, the company is opening a total of 17 more boutiques this year with large-format stores of over 4,000 sq ft, as against the currently existing 2,500 sq ft area. Apart from new oppotunity of big fat jewelleries for Indian weddings, all that new glitter stores will offer an unmatched business to in-store signage players, sign suppliers and print providers.
