Sun Fabric partners with Greenmyna for sustainability cause

Sun Fabric, a recycled alternative to flex, has announced that they are contributing for sustainability cause in a small way. For this, the company has associated with Greenmyna. So far, in collaboration with its NGO partner Greensole, Greenmyna has cycled more than 20,000 running feet of Sun Fabric materials recovered from the events held across the length and breadth of India. “We look forward to taking it as a standard SOP for future events and branding in the retail industry,” says Deepak Girotra, Director of Sun Printable Fabric Pvt Ltd.

He adds, “All chunks of Sun Fabric materials recovered from events are eventually converted into end products like school bags which are donated to municipal schools in Mumbai. Recently, we have also had up-cycled Sun Fabric materials into shopping bags that had been donated to a municipal wholesale vegetable market.” Last year, entire Sun Fabric banners recovered from the Indian Olympic Association Meet were also used in making school bags.
