Senco Jewellery plans for big retail expansion plan

MC Sen incepted Senco Jewellery in Kolkata’s Chitpur locality. Some nine decades later, his great grandsons Anirban and Abhishek (Sen) are carving out a new retail identity for their business under the aegis of Senco Jewellery Palace Abhusan Pvt Ltd or SJPA, as they would like to call it now.  Now the jewellery major is firming up expansion plans. Plans are afoot to have 50 stores across the country over a three-year time period. Abhishek points out that a 1,000 sq ft store will see an estimated investment of Rs 3 crore. However, all stores are unlikely to be of the same size. This expansion plan of the jewelleymajor will be an added opportunity for the signage players having been involved in in-shop designs, displays and related activities
