Seating World forays into India

Atlanta-based Seating World, a premium bedding (mattress) manufacturer popularly known for its Simmons outlets, forays into the Indian market with the launch of its first store in Hyderabad. The company’s idea is to tap up-market areas, and expose those who work in multinationals to international brands. As the Indian premium mattress market is in a nascent stage, Seating World would be opening four more ‘Simmons’ outlets – each having a carpet area of 3,000 sq ft in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore in the next two years. Entry of the global giant like Seating World in the Indian retail market will benchmark a new opportunity in the signage sector.
