RICOH India launches Pro L4160/L4130 large-format printers

Pushing the boundary of innovation to a new edge, RICOH India introduces its first large-format printers – RICOH Pro L4160/L4130 – unpacked during the recent Eastern Print Pack 2014 in Kolkata. These two newly introduced latex models are engineered with seven-colour inks (CMYK, orange, green and white aqueous) to print on clear and backlit substrates which include PVC, tarpaulin, synthetic paper, coated-paper, non-coated paper and textile. Equipped with RICOH GEN5 printheads, both these latex printers can create a droplet as small as four pico litre to give smoother colour gradation. “Extra orange and green inks in the printers provide greater colour gamut, up to 93 percent of the pantone range, allowing accurate production of desired colours and textures,” says Avijit Mukherjee, COO, production printing-BU, RICOH India Limited.

Both RICOH Pro L4160/L4130 use green and durable latex inks suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. “As a result of anti-fade and waterproof qualities of the inks, graphics printed on these two latex printers can be lasted for two years under most conditions,” according to Anjana Saha, national business & marketing manager, production printing-BU, RICOH India. Due to its low curing temperature, RICOH Pro L4160/L4130 can take on wide varieties of heat sensitive media. The maximum print outputs of 18.2 sq m/hr (Pro L4160) and 17.1 sq m/hr (Pro L4130) in 6-pass bidirectional are considered to be the best productivity in the class.
