National Textile Corporation (NTC) is ready to return to retailing in a chic avatar by modernising its 100-odd showrooms as the state-run company looks to ride back to health and become an integrated textile and garment player. NTC had to close all shops in 2005 and the company’s first revive four showrooms will be unveiled at Delhi’s upscale shopping destinations such as Khan Market and Kailash Colony. NTC has partnered home decor firm Rosebys to revamp these showrooms. In the signage segment, the resurrection of the NTC showroom is indeed the budding of a new opportunity that would bring business to in-store media companies, sign suppliers, print providers, etc.
