Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Retail grew on account of new store openings and same store sales during the first half of current financial year. Reliance Industries while reporting its second quarter results said the turnover for its retail business grew by over 48% to Rs 4,910 crore as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. The retailer saw strong growth in the company’s specialty formats, which continued into the current quarter with more store openings. Reliance Trends and Reliance Digital formats joined Reliance Footprint in the 100 store club during this period. Other specialty formats also continued to expand store network in newer geographies, strengthening their pan-India presence. Such healthy growth of the retail giant will be an added advantage for the signage companies dealing with in-shop displays, branding, fabrications, etc.
