Fried chicken chain Popeyes is now planning to aggressively expand in north India with its plan to unveil around 20 stores in the region in the next six months. The brand entered India in January 2022 with an outlet in Bengaluru. So far, its franchisee Jubilant has only opened Popeyes restaurants in southern India as part of its cluster approach and has rolled out the brand in cities including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Madurai and Manipal. But its target to open stores in north India is an added business opportunity for the signage companies engaging in in-store graphics, designs, and such applications.
