Planet Fashion, one of the leading large format multi-brand retail stores, plans to expand its presence to Tier II & III cities. The growing demand for branded apparel for weddings and increasing real estate costs in cities have been cited as reasons for its focus on smaller towns. The new 10 stores are likely to come up by the end of this fiscal at an estimated cost of Rs 30 crore. All stores will be company-owned and will be on high streets. Such rapid expansion plan of the company would benefit signage players whose activities involve extensively around in-shop displays, designs and other related activties.
