Expanding their offerings, Negi Sign Systems & Supplies Co has recently added three more products from Mutoh to their product portfolio, including ValueJet VJ 1608, ValueJet VJ 1618 and Viper TX.
Mutoh’s new ValueJet 1608 is a 4-colour flatbed printer, offering speed up to 120 square feet an hour in production mode, using Mutoh’s new Mubio ink. This hybrid printer can print directly onto corrugated plastics, polystyrene, PVC, acrylic, polycarbonate, foam board, aluminum composite, banner, wall covering and more. Using dynamic variable dot imaging technology, each ink droplet is individually adjusted to provide high speed and high quality with low ink consumption. Each head allows print resolutions of 1400 x 720 dpi, 1440 x 1440 dpi, 540 x 720 dpi and 720 x 720 dpi.
ValueJet VJ-1618 is a roll-to-roll printer providing speed up to 19.7 sq m /h, with resolution up to 1,440 × 1,440 dpi. Its highlighted features include: corresponds to media up to a width of 1,625mm; two-step pressure adjustment according to media stiffness; adopted a new rigid unit that controls printing noise and horizontal oscillation; and equipped with sub bag system, allowing ink replacement during printing.
Another printer, the Viper TX is targeted at short run volumes, varying from sample creation to small lot production. Application possibilities are soft signage, flags, trade show graphics, home furnishings, etc. The printer incorporate 8 drop-on-demand 360 nozzle heads with 8-colour channels, offering full freedom of ink set-up possibilities, with resolutions up to 1440 dpi. Typical production speeds between 75.3 sqft/hr and 301.4 sqft/hr can be achieved. This machine incorporates the technology for textile printing, e.g. an ink gutter, collecting all ink not absorbed by the textile; additional cylinder, ensuring a perfect equal tension on the fabric during printing; and unwinder/winder 100 system, offering perfect media tracking and straight winding of finished prints.
