Mimaki launches new clear ink with glass-like transparency for 3D printing

Mimaki Engineering announces the release of new Pure Clear ink MH-110PCL ink for use with the Mimaki UV-curable full-colour 3D inkjet printer 3DUJ-553. Responding to customer demand, the newly developed pure clear ink MH-110PCL is a product reducing the yellowish tint evident in the conventional MH-100CL clear ink, enabling a more clear-cut, transparent modelling, said Mimaki. The ink is capable of depicting the clear expressions as intended by designers and architects, which is expected to be used in product design for home appliances and cosmetics, as well as in design mock-ups and design verification for industrial products.

The new Pure Clear ink MH-110PCL ink for use with the Mimaki UV-curable full-colour 3D inkjet printer 3DUJ-553 is also suitable for use in medical and architectural models requiring visualization to confirm internal structures. In the field of 3DCG design, the ink is eligible for use in the expression of artworks, etc. As with the conventional MH-100CL clear ink, the pure clear MH-110PCL ink is not only limited to the expression of transparency but can also be combined with colour inks (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) for the reproduction of translucent colour (transparent with colour) expressions.
