Metro Cash & Carry opens in Vijayawada

Germany-based self-service wholesale retailer, Metro Cash & Carry, has opened its wholesale centre for first time in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Located at Mogalrajpuram and built with an investment of Rs 60 crore, the new outlet spreads over 56,000 sq ft and stocks over 10,000 products from fresh produce, exotics and dry grocery to FMCG products, electronics, apparel, furnishings, household appliances, white goods and branded items. This is the company’s third wholesale distribution centre in Andhra Pradesh, after two in Hyderabad at Moosapet and Uppal. Opening of the new wholesale centre in the city will bring in a fresh business opportunity for the signage players dealing in in-shop signages and other related indoor display activities.
