Luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz India announces that it has sold 5,700 units in first nine months of current year, surpassing the sales figure of 5,600 units for whole 2010, and expects the luxury car market to grow between 20-30 per cent this year. With other luxury car brands like BMW giving tough fight, Mercedes Benz would focus on expanding its sales network in smaller and potential cities to deepen its footprint in luxury car space. The company expects to have 65 outlets this year and plans to open 10-15 new outlets next year. Such a big expansion move of the luxury car company will be an added advantage for the business of those companies dealing in in-store signage and others.
