Marks and Spencer to mark 50 stores in three years

High street retailer Marks and Spencer (M&S) is planning to double its retail presence in India, targeting 50 stores in the next three years. The company is currently operating 17 stores in India through a JV with Reliance Retail. Recently the global retail giant opened its latest store in Chennai.  In India, M&S targets primarily at city malls as there are lots of great opportunities but a lot of it is about relying on the space becoming available, so that the wants to open stores in the right locations, and the right shopping malls. Of course, signage companies like in-store signage players, PSPs, sign makers… will rejoice with the opening of M&S stores as it would open a new business opportunity to them.
