Japanese retailer Ryohin Keikaku is all set to enter the Indian retail market with its furniture brand Muji. The single brand retailer is scouting for a partner in the retail arena of the Indian furniture market. Muji, meaning ‘no-brand quality products’ is an established retailer in Japan for basic everyday items at reasonable prices. None of Muji’s 7,000 products, including beds, dishes, jackets and notebooks, have a logo or are wrapped in, distinctive packaging. Now the rejoice is for those signage players hovering around the country’s surging retail segment, such as in-store media companies, sign makers and print providers to carve new business in the new Muji outlets.
