Hewlett Packard (HP), the leader in imaging and printing technology, organised a fashion show called ‘Magic on HP Street’ in New Delhi during March 2006. Over 100 participants from service providers’ community attended the show.
Aimed at the future of outdoor signage printing industry,the company showcased their Designjet 9000s (print speeds of up to 176 sq ft per hour at 720 x 720 dpi, and up to 220 sq ft per hour at 540 x 720 dpi) and 8000s printer series which are designed to accelerate the industry-wide transformation from analogue to digital in the large-format graphics marketplace. Capable of creating long lasting outdoor signage, HP gave these machines an impressive tagline – ‘Delhi roads shall change its image with new crisp signages’ in the show.
Dhirendra Khurana, country category manager, Large Format Printing, Imaging and Printing Group, HP India, enumerated numerous features of the newly launched Designjet printers, while Pankaj Goswami, HP Scitex Vision’s general manager for India, got a perfect platform to inform the audiences about Scitex range of machines, through an impressive presentation. He explained about various Scitex models along with their applications.
The show, arranged in an open area, witnessed live demos of the recently launched HP Designjet series of printers. Special emphasis was given on the environment, as varied applications were practically displayed through a fashion show as well as through specifically fabricated modules.
HP Designjet 9000s printer series, their first large-format digital printer, has been developed through a partnership with Seiko I Infotech established in late 2005. The HP Designjet 9000s printers come with an estimated street prices starting at Rs 24.5 lakhs.
