HEXIS launching a new Latex-compatible vinyl material

HEXIS is launching a new type of vinyl for large format solvent, eco-solvent and Latex inkjet printers. This newly introduced HX190WG2 is a 2mil layered cast vinyl film and because of its particular formulation is more versatile and more “tolerant” with regard to the imperfections of the different print systems. The layered structure will ensure that ink will not affect the adhesive properties and thus maintains the excellent handling properties of the film. As a consequence the compatibility with operable printers is wider, in particular with wide format printers such as hard solvent inkjet systems.

Being a cast vinyl film the product is suitable complex curved substrates (vehicles, rivets etc.) and adheres on steel, aluminum, PVC and melamine. HX190WG2 carries the proven micro-structured adhesive (HEX’Press adhesive technology) which make wrapping and repositioning the vinyl faster and easier due to the air egress channels in the adhesive coat. Also available is a dedicated clear cast cold laminate, the PC190G2, which directly matches the properties and performances of the HX190WG2.
