GSK Consumer Healthcare’s sales grew 18 per cent for the quarter ended December, led by a 13 percent growth in volumes. With such growth tending to the company’s gradual expansion in various verticals, it has been identified that rural areas contribute eight percent to the top line and currently they reach a total of 750,000 outlets across India and of this, 80 percent is in urban areas and 20 percent in rural. By the end of 2014, the number of outlets the company will reach one million outlets. The mega retail outlet expansion plan of the company may bring fresh business opportunity for the signage companies whose activities involve in in-shop displays, designs, branding and other related activities.
