In the Rs 1,000 crore coffee retail market of India, Gloria Jean’s is a small player but the company is very optimistic about its expansion soon. Started in 1979, Gloria Jean’s is present across 35 countries and has over 1,000 outlets worldwide. A $500 million brand, Gloria Jean’s came to India two years back and operates through its franchise partner Citymax. Since launch the brand has grown at 25%-30% every year and Brown is very positive about the India market. Now the company plans to open 400 outlets in which 200 outlets by 2013 and 23-25 in the next 12 months. Gloria Jean’s optimistic plan will bring a fresh business opportunity to the signage companies involving in in-store signage activities.
