General Motors to inaugurate 300 more outlets by FY 2013

General Motors (GM) India is planning to open 300 sales points and an equal number of service outlets in the country by 2013. The company’s focus is on opening new facilities in tier-II and tier-III cities. The demand has increased in the semi-urban and rural areas as a result of increased economic activities, As part of the expansion drive, this month, GM India will open new dealerships across cities like Bangalore, Hissar, Rohtak (Haryana), Una (Himachal Pradesh), Nawanshahar and Amritsar (Punjab). It will also open showrooms and service outlets in a few metros and other parts of the country. Such mega development of the company will be an added advantage for signage companies dealing in in-store displays and other related activities.
