FUJIFILM announces the launch of its latest addition to the Acuity wide format UV inkjet family of printers – the Acuity Advance Select. The new Acuity Advance Select builds on all the advantages of the highly successful and popular Acuity Advance platform, with the same ultra-high print quality, but adds a number of new features that improve production efficiencies and extend the versatility of this platform, allowing it to be used for a much wider range of applications.
One of the key developments incorporated into the new Acuity Advance Select is the inclusion of eight independent ink channels. In addition to the standard CMYK ink set, the Acuity Advance Select includes additional white and clear ink channels. These can be configured in a number of ways. The addition of white and clear ink channels in the printer allows print service providers to print on a range of non-white substrates and add a spot or flood coat ‘varnish’ effect in a single operation all on one printer.
