Flight Centre Travel Group to open 24 new stores in India by 2017

Australian company Flight Centre Travel Group is planning to expand its travel stores across 10 cities in India in the next three years. The company which runs corporate travel arm FCm Travel Solutions along with leisure travel company Flight Shop will add 24 stores to its existing 12 stores with an investment of approximately Rs 20 crores. The economics vary by market but the company will spend anything between Rs 20 lakh to Rs 2 crore setting up each store. Opening of the new outlets across the 10 cities will be an added business opportunity for the signage companies dealing in in-shop displays, designs and related activities.
