Australia-based Escalated Advertising has announced its distribution of licenses to out-of-home (OOH) media companies for Escalator Handrail Media technology. The company has successfully launched various advertisements, brandings and decorative communications on escalator handrails in busiest places like airports, train stations, shopping centres, etc all over the world.
Being significant revenue for outdoor advertisings, escalator handrail advertising has been proven a great success in Australia with the increase of sales by more than 19 per cent (Vodafone in 2007) and store traffic by over 38 per cent (Sushi Roll in 2008). Concerning the medium’s exposure to a captive audience, advertising that is often unavoidable and closeness to the point of purchase, advertisings on escalator handrails offer tremendous advantage over the other traditional outdoor media.
